§ 01 — About the role

What you would do.

You would join the hauling side of Otesse: furniture, appliances, garage cleanouts, donation runs, recycling drops, and disposal jobs that need a calm crew lead in front of the customer.

CDL is not required. The role does require safe driving judgment, steady lifting, route discipline, and care with items that may still be useful to someone else.

This is physical service work, but it is not chaos work. Routes are scheduled, access notes are reviewed before arrival, and donation/recycling paths are part of the job.

§ 02 — Responsibilities

The day-to-day.

  • Drive or support truck routes with preloaded job notes, customer arrival windows, and dispatch support when routes shift.
  • Load bulky items safely including furniture, appliances, yard debris, boxes, bagged trash, and donation items.
  • Sort for the right destination so donation, recycling, landfill, and special-disposal items do not all end up in one pile.
  • Communicate on-site with customers about scope, access, added items, safety limits, and completion notes.
  • Document the job with photos, weight/volume notes, donation receipts, and disposal records where required.
  • Care for the truck by tracking supplies, straps, dollies, PPE, fuel, and end-of-day restock needs.
§ 03 — What you bring

Requirements.

Required:

  • Valid driver license and driving record that meets insurance guidelines
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs with another person and work safely around stairs, driveways, and tight hallways
  • Comfort speaking with customers in homes, garages, offices, and property sites
  • Smartphone capable of using the route and checklist app
  • Ability to pass a national background check after the offer stage
  • Reliable transportation to the truck start point

Nice to have, not required:

  • Moving, delivery, warehouse, donation, recycling, or disposal experience
  • Experience driving box trucks, cargo vans, trailers, or larger service vehicles
  • Customer service experience under time pressure
  • Spanish/English bilingual communication
§ 04 — What we offer

The full package.

  • Pay: $24-30/hr to start, reviewed at 90 days, 1 year, then annually.
  • Health, dental, vision with Otesse paying 80% of premium after 60 days.
  • 401(k) with 4% match after 90 days. Vested immediately.

  • Truck and equipment provided including dollies, straps, PPE, route supplies, and disposal documentation tools.
  • No weekend requirement with optional premium Saturday shifts when routes are available.
