Step Two: Break It Up and Vacuum
Crush the dried dough with your fingers or the back of a spoon so it breaks into small pieces rather than one hard cake.
Work a stiff brush or a plastic scraper through the pile in the direction the yarn lies, not in circles. Circular scrubbing pushes crumbs downward and fuzzes the fiber tips.
