Removing Baked On Grease Varnish
Make a thick paste of baking soda and water, spread it over the cloudy area, and let it sit for fifteen to thirty minutes before working it with a non-scratch pad. Rinse and repeat if a haze remains.
For a stubborn film, mix baking soda with a little hydrogen peroxide instead of water into a paste, apply, and leave it for thirty minutes. The alkaline plus oxidizing combination breaks down polymerized fat noticeably faster.
Do not mix hydrogen peroxide and vinegar in one container, which produces a corrosive acid. Use one or the other, rinse in between, and keep them apart.
