Why This Is Restoration, Not Cleaning
A puffback contaminates every horizontal surface, every wall, the ceiling, the contents, the HVAC system, and the carpet. Cleaning the carpet alone in a house full of soot is wasted effort, because the next time the system runs it redistributes what is left in the ducts.

Fix the Furnace Before Anything Else
