The Method for S Code Microfiber
- Vacuum thoroughly with an upholstery tool. Microfiber holds fine dust deep in the nap, and solvent applied over dry soil turns it into a slurry that spreads.
- Test a hidden area -- inside the skirt or the back of the deck -- and let it dry completely.
- Apply solvent to a white cloth, never poured or heavily sprayed onto the fabric.

It is not risk-free. Alcohol is flammable, it can affect some dyes, and it can attack the adhesives used in some cushion and backing constructions. Test a hidden area, let the test dry fully, ventilate the room the entire time, and keep it away from every heat source and flame.
