Three points deserve emphasis.
Natural stone and acid do not mix, ever. Marble, travertine, and limestone are calcium carbonate, and any acid dissolves a thin layer, leaving a permanent dull patch. Cultured marble is a thin coating over a soft core. Once the gel coat is scratched or dulled, the surface underneath is porous and stains readily. Never use a scouring powder on it.

The Two Stains That Define Bathroom Counters

Toothpaste is mildly abrasive and it dries hard. Splatter that dries around the sink becomes a chalky ring that a dry wipe just polishes.
The fix is water and time. Lay a warm damp cloth over the area for five minutes to soften the deposits, then wipe. Do not scrape dried toothpaste off a gel coat or a polished stone with anything hard. Repeat the soak instead.
